About Me
My name is Jordan Thompson and I am in the third year of my PhD in computing at the University of Utah. I am co-advised by Dr. Daniel Brown and Dr. Alan Kuntz. My primary research focus is on developing autonomous surgical robotic systems capable of reasoning over their predictive uncertainties. I study how we can incorporate uncertainty quantification methods to learned models trained to perform surgical skills with the goal of predetermining task success.
